Project Concept and Development
Started a new module last week. This one is called Concept Development. We have divided ourselves into groups. My dear group consist of Markus, Therese and Sara! In 30 minutes we will have a lecture with Henrik, and at 17.00 we have a deadline for “THE idea”, which probably mean that the idea we are going to work on for this project needs to be finished.
Looking forward to this, and I certainly do hope that I can get to do a bit more designing done this module than I have done the last ones, which has had it focus a bit more on either technology or the process.

Project Information Society
My first thought when this project began was that we don’t have enough time to cover our industry. First of all, the word media means different things in different languages. In norwegian, “media” means the different types of medias, like radio, tv or internet. But we started discussing and talking about how we could narrow it down, to make ourself more comfortable working with this, and so that we were all heading in the same direction.
This was probably the most important part of our project, as we now had the same shoes (great metaphor).
Future
The digital media industry is the future, and it’s also the present. We are in a very important phase of the evolution of the internet, and what I think we will see is old medias merging with internet, making internet sort of a central of communication, entertainment and interactivity. We are on our way out of web 2.0 now, which has been really important when it comes to web standards, social networks and new use of technology. Interactivity, our main focus in this project is one of the reasons we’ve been having this really fast development these recent last years. The last years millions of people have gotten their internet connection, and millions of others have recieved broadband. The more people that are available to the producers of the internet services and applications, the bigger the market is and the more money is available in it. Depending on how you look at the internet, it’s probably the worlds largest supermarket. At least the most available. Millions surf the net every day, making them potential customers of all the different types of differnt types of stores you can find.
I think that the more we use internet, the bigger it will get, and there are as far I can see, no restrictions or no such thing as a frame. Internet will just keep expanding. In my opinion that’s both fun and extremely interesting as we really have no idea what we will be doing in 50 years.
I want to suggest you to watch a lecture, or sort of a speech TEDTalks (a great website, by the way). You can find here, and it’s done by Kevin Kelly, the CEO of Wired.com.
